Side Panels - On or Off

Side Panels are fairly subjective. They cover up some of that beautiful trellis frame with a bit of benign fairing but also seem to provide a balanced look to the bike between the seat and frame as well as covering up some wiring with a bit of benign fairing. I've seen both Monsters with them on and Monsters with them off. If you've got a pic of some creative side paneling you want to share please do.

Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

I gave the option to show us your custom side panel. No one wants a vote on a custom job they want to see it in all its side panel custom glory. Lets see it.  [popcorn]

I wonder if he bought those vented stainless (pretti moto or something like that?) from Speeddog? those were nifty, I probably would've jumpred on em if I'd had another day to consider it.

But side panels off for me.

I did buy the DPM side covers from Speeddog. Love them, just debating whether to keep them silver or go with red. Black didnt go well with the bike color scheme.

Go naked!  I kept the cowl to even out the tank color and the belt covers on to keep rocks and such out of my junk, otherwise they'd be gone too. Once the house stops taking up all my time (two floor gut job) she'll be getting a proper exhaust and some engine love.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Love all the yellow Duc love.  Where is JM?

Jarvicious: why not paint the belt covers in the mean time?  Cheap and easy mod and would go great with your black frame.  I have the gray frame so it doesn't look as nice, but definitely better than the original color.

Split the difference

Love those DPM covers in black. Convinced me to do mine in red to match the frame rather than keep them silver.

I miss the acid yellow and black S2R

Nice bikes guys. [thumbsup] Yeah, maybe black clutch, belt and side covers. Those alloy custom side covers are very nice. I have kept my original carbon ones as part of the carbon fetish.

You guys have converted me to yellow. I'm thinking a yellow and black Monster for my daughter as it's very striking. Maybe cagers might see her.

Side panels off ..running clear belt covers ( running with no belt covers now )

Xanthoria

Off - and I used an angle grinder to remove 1.5" of the seat along the bottom edges  to allow the frame to show more, and then recovered the seat.

Pobs better with a contrasting colored frame, but...
