So it looks like I will be heading to the Red Bull GP race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
I've never attended a race before so who can give me some pointers?
What seats should I try to get?
What is Ducati Island?
Do I need my red key or title to access areas - can I bring guests?
Any info would be appreciated.

get a cheapie am/fm radio with headphones.... I think most tracks broadcast the track announcers via an am signal. you will not be able to hear the pa system.
Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

So I went solo.  -Me

Ducati Island is a spot somewhere inside the track, that Ducati riders can park their bikes. There are places to eat, plenty of Duc goodies to look at, a Fashion show etc. etc. Anyone can go there. You only need a key to enter one of their tents. I only spent a few hours there at Laguna as I had better spot to hangout.   [thumbsup]

kopfjager shared his tickets with me last year... the Red Bull Suite rocked. Best view, big screen tv's inside, open bar, free food, shade.

They now require your ducati registration. It seems in the past few years one ducati magically turned into 3 with 2 black keys and one red one. [laugh] Those days are gone.

there was going to be something humorous here, but, unfortunately, i was in charge of the typing, and this is all i could come up with.

Yep, Ducati wasn't accepting keys at Miller for World SBK last month.  They did accept my registration, although they gave me crap around riding a Monster.  I told 'em without Monsters paying the bills, they wouldn't have no stinkin' superbikes.

they're usually about 40-45 minutes.  ~70 miles @ avg. speed 110mph.. I always watch on SPEED channel and that's usually the duration minus commercials (which come every 2-3 laps!!)

Evil_Ductator

man, i am really getting pumped for next weekend.  riding up the coast to monterey.  well, mostly.  anyone know if big sur has opened the 1 back up yet?  i know the fire is still not contained.

+1 with Speed Ch. killing the action with a commercial break at critical points....."....as we get back to the action on the track two riders have crashed out, and seven position changes have occurred....back after this word from our deodorant sponsor!"

Also making the trip to Indy.....on the monsta baby! 8)
