I have a standard wind screen with small fairing on my monster. I want a taller screen while keeping my fairing. Can I cut down another wind screen to fit? Has anyone cut a lexan wind screen without damaging it? If so how did you do it?

Monster model?

There are taller screens for most models.

Sorry, Not sure how to navigate around here. I ride a 2000 Monster 900. I live in NC and like riding the mountains in our state. Currently I'm running the tall screen. Right now it's more like a Sport Touring Monster. If I can post a picture I will. How do I do that?

You'll have to upload to a picture host (PhotBucket, Flickr a.s.o.) and link it here. See FAQs for instructions.

The fairings and their mounting system changed somewhere around 2000, so you might have the old design and find it hard to locate aftermarket alternatives. Is yours mounted on metal brackets/tubes? If that's the case, maybe an extension like this http://www.twistedthrottle.com/shop-by-product/ergonomics-rider-comfort/windshields/windshield-extensions

... or a larger generic naked bike wind screen?  http://www.monsterparts.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?
