Wrapped my exhaust and trimmed the tail a bit

Generally, you use header wrap to wrap headers, not mufflers. Tend to actually work a lot better.

When/if you wrap anything wrap it back to front.  It leaves the exposed lip of the wrapping free from fraying from wind/debris hitting it at speed.  (you can feel the difference if you run your hand across it from front to back)  trust me I have wrapped so many headers on my offroad bikes  got to do it several ways and see how each held up.  also slightly damp wrap will pull tighter.  tuck the last bit under at 45 degrees so you don't have a raw cut exposed, and but a set of safetywire pliers and safety wire it vs the clamp.  It'll look way clean and holds up well.

Good tip... now that I look at mine I see I wrapped mine with the edge heading into the wind. We'll see how it holds up.

I've never done it before, but I figured a damp wrap would tighten up. But I hadn't thought of using safety wire - so I'm thinking I'll definitely go that route!

I am frustrated with appearance of header pipe on my 696...SO wanna PC it, but too much $$$$ right now. 
SOOO, any help on wrapping at least the ONE silly looking dipping front header pipe is MUCH appreciated here. ANYone???  Did a search for info/thread, found this only.

I just got my 696 headers wrapped up .looks clean.and i was thinking about wrapping my stainless termi 2 .and hear it its somebody already did wrapped the muffler.pic on the way

Nice job Weston.  Looks good.  I like what you've done.  I say wrap the pipes too and paint the shields black to match the rear hugger, and since you've removed the reflectors what about pulling those frame stickers too.

Put [_img_] in front of the url and [_/img_] behind the url (just don't add the underlines)

When you take out the underlines so that the coding is correct you get this:

Looks SOO much better with header pipe wrapped. GOTTA get mine done! Anyone live near me and good at it, need some extra cash?! 

Stupid question???   Is it OK to remove ugly frame stickers, btw?  Is there a REASON for them where they are or a law?  I am in Florida.  Tks.
