Hey there, first post.

Negotiations fell through for a classic 1000 off of Craiglist last summer and the monster has always been my dream bike so I ordered an 821 Dark yesterday. Kitted out with LED turn signals, mirrors, pump cover, and kriega US-20/R20 so far.. I'm a little concerned, just from the test drive, about seat comfort on long drives. I plan to head out of town every weekend this riding season (gotta take advantage of the riding time you get in Canada). Do you guys have any insight in picking a touring seat that may be better than the rest; or have recommendations on picking one? I've also heard that Rizoma or Woodcraft rearsets make a difference.. any other suggestions would be appreciated. I'm 6'3" and 190 lbs.

Thanks!

A bit early for options but call Sargent and see when they'll offer a seat for the new ones on their own pan. Sargent is very popular with Monster owners generally. They'll offer it in several heights probably. http://www.sargentcycle.com/

If you get an operator right away, ask for Troy who has been there quite a while. Usually very helpful.

An air cushion makes a Hugh difference. My Bimota has a seat that is an inch thick, ridiculous really. With an Airhawk cushion I can ride all day.
