There is a German sniper with his rifle aimed at the camera in each of these.  Can you find him?

Answers:
1) behind the log in the middle of the image, next to the trunk of the tree on the right end of the log
2) on top of the boulders in the LR corner
3) I have absolutely no idea, but article says "right of the small path; slightly uphill inside the small bushes."

Even WITH the description of where they are, I have trouble spotting them.  I would make a terrible infantryman.   :(

I got the 1st two within a few seconds. Still don't see the 3rd.

That said, I was looking for them while knowing they were there. If I was just shown a photo and asked what isn't normal, then I would have never seen them.

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

#1 found in about 3 seconds.
#2 took about 5.
#3 had me dead to rights and planted long before I even heard the shot. I am fairly certain I know where he is after studying the picture a while but it took quite a while.

All 3 would have shot your fat ass way before you heard the shot.

Hey now...no need to get insulting. Even if it is the truth!   [cheeky]

I'm just being technical here, but if a sniper is accurate, then don't you NEVER hear the shot?  That is, the bullet is moving faster than sound so you're dead before the sound reaches you.  Right?

And for sure, your argument would be valid if I had used the word "literal" or "literally" in my comment.

I have been training this mission for the better part of 25yrs. I've trained over 1,000 SOF Operators. Part of training is a 'Stalking' exercise where the student moves to within 300m from as far away as a click, and sets up and fires a shot from an FFP 'undetected.' They hate the days when I'm on glass, as I don't let many of them get a go. It's personal for me and I only want the best to do it down range. My final class is coming soon. End of an era.  :-\

And I, for one, am grateful for your service.  Thank you.

Simple FFP in a shitty spot with 'BOB' directly overhead, easy to spot as I'm 20ft from him, but at distance he'd be invisible. I busted him
