Used the conifigurator to select the paint for the wheels (which are getting thin). Going for light gold, magnesium gold, Tuscan gold, style colour to go with the black frame and red tank. Or um, maybe black [laugh].
The seat cowl and bikini fairing are carbon. I was deciding between matching the tank colour with them or staying carbon.

Gave the bike a pat as I walked past. It really runs so well and smooth for an old 900.
It now has CRG levers (from the forum FS section [thumbsup]) which fit the hand so well.

Went for a quick blast to drop off work at a colleague's house.

Quick but fun.

Took out old airbox (that I screwed up), replaced new airbox after cutting in a new MWR power up kit. Bled both brakes on ABS unit.

Now onto the new exhaust!

I thought of my bike today sitting in the Garage in California....

Plugged the battery tender back in! 😥

Adjusted the chain. Thinking it's about time for a new one. I have a feeling this one had sat on the shelf for quite some time before I got it. Several o rings are gone. It's got about 8k miles on it.

Exhaust installed on the EVO. Looks good EXCEPT for the galv plated bracket that connects the carbon fiber exhaust clamp to the EVOtech stock exhauxst bracket. BOO!

Looks like I'll need to paint/powdercoat that sometime.

Gotta get the bike running first, then worry about the details!

I know that's your rear stand, but it looks like you have training wheels!

I'm stepping up from an 800cc monster to the 1100 EVO. I might need them! [laugh].

For the last 10 years I've been able to hamfist my old bike and never worry about the repercussions.

Recognizing that bad habits are hard to break, I bought the EVO for the Traction control "Just in case". I figured I could ween off it once I get used to the motor characteristics.

That was my initial thoughts as well.

Enjoyed a ripper 220 km ride.

Tweaked idle air bleeds.

Bro worked wonders on my sticky clutch!

Then, took #1 daughter for a 40 min spin.

1 km from home, bike stalls. Won't re start!

Off with the seat, up goes the tank. Negative battery terminal is a bit loose.

Call the GLW who promptly arrives with the station wagon and tools.

Terminal tightened, bike jump started and I limp home.

Battery tender hooked up 11.7 volts.

A good charge should do it!

Put together the rest of the bike on Sunday. No training wheels this time. ;D
