Interesting article on Wired about Ducat's stability control system.  Currently on the MS and Pani.

"To test cornering performance, I put the bike at 35 degrees of leanâ€"typical for a sharp cornerâ€"and stab the brakes or throttle, doing it faster each time. First 35, then 45 and 55 mph, all on a wet, slippery surface. It works against every survival instinct I’ve developed as a motorcyclist. It is absolute madness. At least on a normal bike."

Looks like as this and similar technology becomes ubiquitous, we'll have to learn to re-train our riding instincts.  Meanwhile, engines will become silent (electric).  Bikes will be unrecognizable to anyone who didn't grow up learning numbers and letters on an ipad.

Agreed.
We will all be back on the dirt tract with old bikes with drum brakes to have fun.

Having rode the 1299, it is AMAZING, way too much for the street. [thumbsup]
