That might be true for some of them.

There was nothing about that crash that was anything other than 'something' on the track.

They were putting kitty litter down on that turn after the race, prior to Moto2. Then the sky opened up. Not sure at this level how they' missed it. (Track officials)

Looks like they missed a patch right on the line the fast riders were using.
