I had this same exact problem SKOM.    Right after washing the bike and a few miles in to a ride to dry it off; I had also just jetted out all the crap that accumulates around the final drive front sprocket and that things positioned right next to the clutch slave cylinder.  I can only assume that somehow dirt was blasted in to the clutch push rod tunnel and was jamming the mechanism, after removing the rod and wiping everything clean I had no repeat of the problem after 1000’s of miles.

I think that's it. Especially because I don't have a front sprocket cover right now (waiting for the replacement to arrive) and I cleaned out a fair bit of gunk from in there.
I'll pop it off at put some water proof grease on the rod. The only grease I have kicking around is a lithium disulphide grease. Is this okay to use. Or I suppose I could stop being lazy and check the service manual.

And on a side note. RE having too much clutch fluid. I hate my local service spot. I payed 830 facking dollars for what? You'd think they would check that shit. They said they did. 830 Dollars!!!   >:(  And they didn't even have to adjust the valves (or so they say).

Thanks again guys   [beer]

right on.

btw the rod can be pulled right out.  not a bad idea to pull it out, clean the old grease and gunk off, clean the seals inside the salve cyl, and then relube and reinstall it.  the stiction should go away.

Just to wrap up this thread-

I pulled the slave cyl out and took the rod out.
Wow there was quite a bit of crap in there.
I cleaned everything an lubed 'er up. Runs like a dream now.

Big thanks again for all the input.
