Ran in to (not literally) this guy on his 1990 K1. What a trip! He was a real character to boot...

This was the beginning of the road I met him on- A very sweet ride.

He came up behind me and for the life of me, I couldn't figure out what the hell it was! Finally, he zipped by doing 90 or so and I saw what it was.

We met up up at a scenic spot and talked for awhile and I took these pix. A fun day with a cool find to see the bike...

What would ScoobyDoo?

I always thought that bike was cool and a bit ahead of its time.  It never really caught on with the mainstream public (gee, wonder why?) but it's a fine collectible now.  That one's in great shape, and kudos to you for recognizing it and getting the pics up for us to drool over.  I always love it when I see a cool old gem out on the road.  There's a local guy here who I see quite frequently on the backroads on a nice original Norton Atlas with over 40k miles on it.  He rides the heck out of it and you just know it'll never end up on a stand in the living room.  Old bikes should be used, not hidden away in garages or the collections of millionaires.  Ride on!
If it's got two wheels and a motor, I like it!

That's a very ORANGE bike ! I like it . I've never seen one before. Those old Bimmers just keep on rollin'. Thanks for sharing.

Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.

Interesting!!  [popcorn]

What kind of power does that thing make I wonder?
2001 MS4; Full Termi w/airbox, ECU, SPS cams, CycleCat ClipOn Adapters, Apex clip-ons, CRG's, MW open clutch, Sargent Saddle, CF aplenty.. NOT RIDEABLE FOR A LONG TIME DUE TO MY STUPID LACK OF JUDGEMENT!!

From some random web site article--- "The 16-valve engine was good for a claimed 100hp at the crankshaft. Unfortunately, a good amount of that power was sopped up quite a bit by the bike's portly 613-pound curb weight. However, that weight also made it an absolute road-burner, capable of triple-digit speeds for hours on end."
