Just a couple of years ago that would describe Dovi and Cal. Look where they are now...in the hunt.

How much more than the original offer did it take?

All MotoGP contracts are confidential until the riders themselves leak it. I'm sure Dovi is very happy.

Something tells me that Jorghey might be considering staying. Only HRC or Yamaha could offer as much as Ducati, even if it's considerably less compared to his current contract. During Lemans FP1 the announcers were discussing how Suzuki seem to be building an offer for Iannone. They were also talking about Aprilia going after Petrux.

Pecino says Iannone is out, Jorge wants too much, and Mir likely to get the Suzuki seat, if some pesky paperwork can be handled.

I doubt Jorghey will be out of MotoGP unless he insists on the money he’s currently getting from Marlboro. Someone will make him an offer.
