since i am new here, thanks for having a ladies board, and ladies thanks for rallying and answering questions! i read a lot of the other boards and the responses from presumably guys are so aggressive and sometimes just rude. so thanks ladies for being NORMAL! ha ha.

It's what we're here for...except I'm not too sure about that normal bit.   :P

I agree, it's a great place to hang out and ask questions that might get you slammed elsewhere.  I'm always wondering though if we take some comments as aggressive when that wasn't the intent.  I guess that's the joy of the internet.

I think a lot of it is that most of the people on this board are guys. Add to that the fact that people think its ok to be rude and assholish (thats a technical term right there) on the internet cause its semi-anonymous.

I'm also glad theres a women's board that is welcoming.

I post on the "male side" of the board, and I often get replies that refer to me as a man.  I giggle and laugh and always reply with the signature: I could be your mom, son!   :)
Can you imagine a world without a Ducati???  I think it's called Hell. :)

guys also bust on each other (to show they're pals!).

when they bust on us, it's not the same.

not sure if it's a guy/gal thing, or maybe we look at a person and can tell they're joking, but the written word has not inflections - just literal.

whatever - it's nice to be here.

it is great that the ladies have their own section of the forum,
but the guys on the dmf aren't really THaT bad  :)

i've met a bunch of great peeps on the dmf,
and most of them are guys...

i'm just sayin' this so the ladies aren't scared of the general forum.
so, go out there and be heard  ;D

I second that!  The guys are pretty good - and it's easy to spot the opinionated ones.  No one responds to them!

Ok, I've been using this same avatar and I've had people reply as if I'm a man.  Do I LOOK like a dude in my avatar?   :o

No, and your screen name implies that you're not a man either.  I imagine those guys that do mistake you for being one, think it's your husbands bike and you're just making it look pretty too.  [roll] [laugh]
