2000 750 monster neutral switch

Can anyone tell me where the neutral switch on a 2000 750 monster is located.
My bike is all back together but it wont start. All electrical seems to be working except I am not getting the neutral light to indicate that the bike is in neutral. I think this is causing in not to start.  I have a feeling the switch is physically located on the right rear side of the engine.

Look the back of the engine above the engine mount.  You will see a sensor with a wire in a recess.  That is it.  Pull the wire off.  With the key on ground the wire.  If the neutral light now comes on you found the problem.
