after my wife realized that i wasn't going to stop riding, she kindve learned to deal with the fact that i will always have a ducati or some kind of motorcycle in our lives together. so after a while she began to warm up to the idea of riding around with me. so once in a while we take the ol' S2R out for a small ride. just short hops to get icecream or stop at the local cafe( i love parking my cafe racer right in front of the cafe! ) but she is very uncomfortable and starts to slide off of her seat and into mine. i have to stretch my arms out and it is not to comfy for me either.  is there any remedy, maybe some lower passenger pegs or maybe a different seat. i don't know. this winter i am going to build a nasty soft tail however, i want to keep my monster and i hope there is a way i can fix the problem

Smartass comments aside: I agree, actually.  You ride.  You know what it takes.  You know your wife (hopefully).  If she doesn't have it, don't push it.  It'll just end badly and you know it.

There might be a Aftermarket seat that is more suitable for a passenger. My 14 Yr old son rides with me occaissionally. I have the DP Gel seat,, which doesnt have the slick vinyl cover.

The passenger area on my Corbin seat is sculpted a bit so a butt will fit in it.

My wife says it helps to keep her from sliding.

Smooth throttle/braking inputs helped even more.

She just needs more practice.  My girlfriend rides wiht me regularly and at first she was sliding around but now I barely notice she's there.  Does she put a hand on the tank when you're braking so she doesn't slide forward?  It also helps if she squeezes you with her legs to help keep her from sliding around.

my woman still has that problem of sliding forward.  im 99% sure its because the rear seat is so small that she cant get comfy all the way back, but she is still new and never rode on a bike until i got her to.  i will try getting her to put her hand on the tank next time too. 

the worst part about her sliding forward is that my "junk" is already pretty snug against the tank because of the clipons, and she just pushes even more... not good.

What about getting your seat "customized" and having the passenger area worked on.  Maybe a "pocket" so she slides less forward/backward.

My fiancée is spooked by my 750.  Even if she took the MSF, she still wouldn't ride it she stated.  She loves the bike though, but as been on the back through some spirited riding and knows what Molly is capable of.  I'm still hunting a very cheap Ninja 500 for her that I can fix up a little for a 1st ride ~

im about to trade away a pitbike for a scooter so i can teach the wife to ride.  i figure a 150 sunl is worth more to me than a pitbike that i sold, and when the guy didnt give me the last payment i repoed it back.
