Hello All,

Can anyone tell me where the ECU is located on my 696? I purchased it with the Termi kit installed but might want to go back to the stock cans, filter & ECU. Why? Just because I might want to purchase another manufactures cans which use the stock ECU. I also might want to experiment with a different combination of cans, filter and ECU.

Thanks!

no personal knowledge.
however, take a look here

download the pdf file, and you can browse through the different parts of the bike to find the ECU

also, if you move this post over to the tech section, you may get a better response
Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty, and the pigs like it...

Under the tank in front of the battery.  Takes about 25-30 minutes to get there if you know what your doing..about the same to reassemble.   While your there you might as well add a battery tender patch cord to the battery for future use.

Just curious as to why you might want to change. I wasn't able to run the race ECU  until I discovered the reversed coil wires. Now it runs perfectly.
