WOW!  That was some line up out front of Motopia this afternoon.  Good times.  Always good to catch up with folks - seems like it's been a really long and hot summer... at least the weather today and yesterday were perfect for scooter riding and we had a great turn out, woo-hoo!

Lyndy - nice to see you again and that bike of yours looks fantastic - even better than those awesome pix y'all posted the other day  [thumbsup]  Thanks for letting me tag along with you westsiders on the way home.  Kinda sad I couldn't have stayed and played longer  [laugh]

Looking forward to more group rides this Fall.  Maybe someone will plan something for the hill country soon.

Have a great week  [thumbsup]

Bryant, I keep meaning to ask you, why is there is piece of blue painters masking tape on your left front fairing? I swear I think I have seen it in several other pictures of your bike from other get togethers. What's the increase in top end speed tape vs no tape? Or is it an improved gas mileage mod that you are not sharing with the rest of us? I know it's not there to make it easier to pick out your white 848 among the tens of thousands of others out there. [laugh] Come on, spill the beans. ;D

Loading mishap in the HC.  Pushing my bike into the wheel chock in my truck caused the fairing to clip George's 695 bar end and crack the fairing.  It's a small crack, no biggie.

Ouch. Have you tried some white plastic 3M tape? Sorry for the boo boo but I thought I remembered seeing it before in some pics. I thought you just kept it there in case you had a sudden urge to hit another track day and needed some lens cover tape in a hurry. [thumbsup] Hope ya'll had a good time at the Dub, hopefully some stupid drunk didn't drive into it again while your bikes were out front. :P

One of these days I'll get the white plastic tape, but it's no biggie

Ouch.

Exactly... I still cringe when I think about the sound of my bike biting while we were loading the 848.

Yep, those nails on chalkboards sounds stick with you. Don't know which is worse, you scratching your own bike or someone anonymous doing it out of nowhere. My Dad used to call that "knocking the new off of it". Sounded like something he would say, he was the guy who used to throw bales of hay into the back seat and open trunk of his '73 240D Mercedes at the farm when the cows needed feeding. :P Off he'd go cross country bouncing around in the MB feeding the cattle. Just couldn't knock the country/rancher out of him. Never understood my interest in actually washing my car or bikes once in awhile. RIP padre. [thumbsup]

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.
