Thanks for the help everybody.

Now I'm even more confused though.

My S4 had 4 cams and 2 spark plugs.

It seems they screwed up in Bologna and got it backwards on my new bike...

Is this covered under warranty?

What should I do?   ???

Howie

It should be, but Bologna will never admit to it.  PM Statler and ask if you can sue.

Jobu

Everything should be OK though since you added that aftermarket douche bag to the seat.  [laugh]

Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty, and the pigs like it...

I called my dealership today.

I explained the problem and the service manager seemed to think it was some sort of joke.

I informed him that I would be filing a law suit unless they took out two of the spark plugs and installed two more cams under warranty.

He called me an idiot and I'm pretty sure I could hear him laughing as I hung up the phone.   >:(

WTF??

I guess I'll be getting a lawyer.  Think Statler would want to handle it for me?!

NAKID

He'll probably do it pro-bono, since it will probably get class action status...

This is a serious thread.  If you have nothing useful to say, then post in one of the two Say Anything Threads.

Well, it's all clear now.

After a visit to my local dealer today, I now know that air-cooled 2 valve Ducatis only have one cam per cylinder.

Thanks guys.  I'm sure at least one of you knew this and could have prevented my looking like a dumbass.

Well, probably not, since I am a dumbass, but maybe prevented it in this situation.   :P

Still doesn't explain why they drilled extra holes in the heads and then decided to fill them with plugs.  :P

Those are the spare plugs - in case the top ones get fouled, you can rotate the bottom ones up to the top, put the top ones back down to plug the holes.  Ducati even includes a tool in the tool kit for this.
