I forgot about this issue i had, ill try to best describe it but i dont know what it is.

I was just messing around with my bike and after a ride i threw her on a stand and proped the tank to have a look see at my bike to make sure everything is in order. I start my bike and i rev my engine, and at some points i peg it to the rev limit. Near the rev limit, or on the revlimit, my battery makes sparks at one of the ends. I forgot if it was the + or - end. I checked for loose connections and of the sort, but came up with nothing. Theres also a huge distinct smell of clutch after words. I get the same smell if im slipping the clutch on a really steep hill.

Any idea what the hell is going on? Bike is in the shop right now, and im gonna call them up and let them know about this issue.

Ducnial

For what its worth its not your clutch.  The smell you are experiencing is phenolic burning.  Clutch disk packs are made from a similar phenolic based composit polymer.  This material is also used to fabricate electrical terminal blocks  Recheck all the connections throughly focusing on the area were the sparks emmited.  Because it will continue to smell even after the engine is off use your nose to pinpoint the exaxt location. I'd highly recommed getting it sorted out before taking it out else the chance of a fire or getting stranded.

There would be no spark if there is no gap.  Something is loose somewhere.  Tell the shop the symtoms, don't tell them what to do.  Ducnial is right, if the clutch does not slip in use it will not slip on a free rev.  Free rev to red line?  Good thing your bike has a rev limiter.

I dont recall my clutch slipping in use during the high RPMs, but the bike did studder alot  at lower RPMS. Id be going steady 45mph in 2nd or 3rd gear, and the bike would jerk. I figured it was just a fueling issue since my engine sounded like it was skipping a beat.

Ill call them up tomrorow and let them know, and when i get her back, ill do a shake down, and if anything goes bad, ill put her down for the winter and send it back to gold coast.
