Removed the passenger pegs and changed the grips on the Speedy R this morning...

Went for a ride yesterday to put some miles on the Speedy...stadium, Haleiwa, Kahuku, and the Pali tunnel to home...it was raining all the way from Laie until I cleared the tunnel on my side of the mountains...needless to say the Speedy is no longer showroom fresh, in fact it's filthy, much more so that the SF ever got in the rain...aside from some road repaving on Kam near Dole Plantation, there was no traffic to speak of...nice leisurely ride except for the rain...

Short ride today, H3 to the usual windward stuff, then Pali to a fairly messy Tantalus and then to SSD where I saw MD's frosted denim blue S1000R in the showroom.

Then to home where I cleaned the Speedy, installed a set of Evotech frame sliders and adjusted the bars and controls.

Speaking of BMW's and color...I dropped off my bike at the paint shop to have the Armour Bodies track plastics painted.  

This is my first time designing a paint scheme (beer helped)...I'm staying with the motorsport color "theme."  The tail will be changed/lightened up…likely to white with motorsport accents and a number plate.  Wish me luck!

Among lots of things done yesterday I went down to South Seas to check on that blue S1000R. Just for grins.    But it was gone.    There was a red one on the floor that was so new out of the box that it still had packing protection strips on the exhaust and it too had a " Sold - Do Not Sit On " on it.    They also had a new 1000RR with the black tank / red side fairings sitting there.  

While gawking in the showroom, up rode this bike, which gathered a crowd pretty quickly.

Short ride this morning to get the "service" indicator icon to trip, then washed the bike and lubed the chain.

500 mile service appointment at Cycle City tomorrow morning, should be interesting.. .
