I hope the roads are dry for you guys.  It is uncanny that this week it has managed to rain just about every afternoon from about 4:30 to 6:00. That stopped any bicycle riding. I know I'm just a pussy but it's the dang clean up afterward. Somehow I hate cleaning a bicycle more than a motorbike and then there is washing all of the road grime out of your shorts, jersey and socks.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Gene and I are meeting at Ward JJ & SB @ 10:00 AM.

Had a very good ride today, a bit wet in spots but for the most part dry...had two good runs out of three on snake road before lunch and another good one after*, finished up with tech park for dessert...much mahalos for the invite Jing, hope the ride home wasn't too wet... ;D

*at the beginning of the last run up the hill, a guy in a pickup truck moved onto the shoulder to let us pass... [thumbsup]

I really miss that sort of thing.  Doesn't exist here.

The future of transportation here on Oahu and I'm not kidding. We tried to snag that dealership.

They are neat little cars, but I can't for the life of me figure out why they won't bring the diesel version to the states.  The one I drove in the UK got something like 75 mpg...

That's why!  Can't have mileage like that over here don't you know.

i was riding around in it and am suprised that the brabus package really made a difference from the standard base model. the suspenion is tight the wider wheels grip pretty nicely and the thing turns really well ... almost like a gocart  ;D

cant wait to take it down Tantalus  [evil]

It was fun. Thanks Gene.  Surprisingly it was dry on h3. I finished it off with 13 turns as dessert topping.  [cheeky]

So how are you liking your new driveway?

Went to the shop and watched Rick tinker with four different bikes, two Ducs and two Beemers... [clap]

it's quite nice actually. Thou can't be awaken by ur sc or emille's exhaust on Sunday mornings anymore.  Need to set the alarm in order to meet up at jj. But not complaining, I love the "forest"

Yesterday was pretty productive. Between 8am yesterday to early this morning I finally got my DVR working and back to cable service. Took a ride out to Oceanic in Mililani Tech Park on the Hypermotard to get that happening. Found out that Andy's doesn't carry riding jeans anymore so I will have to go online to get new pants to work with the Bohns UnderArmor that I got. The old Draggin Jeans are just a bit too tight to get over all the hip padding. (of course, losing a little weight would help too  [roll] )

Lubed & adjusted the chain on the Hyper. Finally got rid of those pecky roll pins in the handlebars that locked the masters in one place. Now I can dial them down and outboard a bit to get a better feel. Also redid the compression and rebound damping to try to get rid of the front oscillation in high speed corners. (got better but still not quite there).

Helped / showed Frederick how to do a proper oil change on the Monster. Bled the front brakes & clutch too. Got to test ride it around the block. It's still a kick to ride and definitely a "bad boy". A couple near WOT blasts up Kawaiahao didn't do anything good for neighborhood relations and I got a stink eye or two.   [evil] [evil]

Voytek played around a bit with the R1100S and did a couple very minor fixes to the kick stand stop and the shift lever linkage.  Helped Brandon check the front & rear sag on the new S1000RR. He's in range but could firm up the front a bit and soften up the rear. We'll let him get the thing broken in before messing around anymore.   ;D

Went for a spin around Tantalus afterward with Brandon, Emile & Craig. Had a hoot on the Hyper but it was a bit weird riding with the DVR in my backpack. Beat the rain going home.  YAY!

Then went out to smoke cigars and drink beers.

Hey........ it looks like the sun might be coming out...........

I've got a pair of the Forcefield shorts that I rarely wear for the same reason, kinda funny looking because they are pretty bulky around the hips...I think I should have bought the pants, so that the bulky look would extend all the way down the legs...
