ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR THE WESTERN HALF OF THE
STATE...SPECIFICALLY OAHU...KAUAI AND NIIHAU. WATER VAPOR IMAGERY
INDICATES AN UPPER LEVEL PATTERN WHICH WILL PRODUCE AN AREA OF
LARGE SCALE ASCENT ACROSS THE WESTERN HALF OF THE STATE THROUGH THE
REST OF THE DAY AND INTO THE EVENING. THE AIRMASS WILL BE
SUFFICIENTLY UNSTABLE TO PRODUCE DEEP MOIST CONVECTION WITH AN
INCREASING THREAT OF HEAVY SHOWERS AND SOME THUNDERSHOWERS FROM
KAUAI OVER TO OAHU.

It's not looking that good right now. When I came back home from groceries & chores this morning at 0730 the Pali was dark and cloud base just barely above the gap.  Big showers were moving across Waimanalo and heading towards Maunawili. It did rain, is lightly raining here at the house but it could dry up in a bit. Radar imagery shows a big cluster all along the Koolaus and the Windward side. Central & Leeward show clear. We'll see.  [roll] ............
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Strangely, with the exception of a few light showers, it was pretty much rain free until our last heat was just about finished...[thumbsup]

When Gloria was on her way home around 1pm -- 1:30pm she told me that she had the wipers running on high speed going over the Pali.

Sorry guys. Norfolk was more dry than expected. Kind of a spotty day all over though.

I lead through Norfolk going down and got a bit discouraged by the mud at the bottom, instead, returned back on Kalanianaole and went to Kailua for lunch with the guys.

No problem as we made a run through there after we split with you...had lunch in Kailua, then did a slow run thru 13 turns on the way to the H3...Me, Bob, Majdi, and Kevin were passed in the tunnel & afterwards by a group of maybe 10 local guys on sportbikes doin' maybe 85-90, weaving in and out & ridin' the shoulder...Kerry was bringing up the rear of that group on his 1000RR... :o
