No problem as we made a run through there after we split with you...had lunch in Kailua, then did a slow run thru 13 turns on the way to the H3...Me, Bob, Majdi, and Kevin were passed in the tunnel & afterwards by a group of maybe 10 local guys on sportbikes doin' maybe 85-90, weaving in and out & ridin' the shoulder...Kerry was bringing up the rear of that group on his 1000RR... :o

Wish I was there to see that.   [Dolph]  Don't know about that riding on the shoulder stuff though........
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

The "shoulder" was that half lane on the right for disabled vehicles, so it wasn't thaaat bad...but I'm sure I saw one of the first guys through split two cars while riding the centerline...they was loud and they was rippin'...

At least they were wearing protection while they split cars, protection being a leather vest with bare arms.

Yep. That cracks me up too.  I love the ones that wear the strap on chest protectors/back protectors over their double t-shirts. As though the arms, hands, and legs are OK to get hammered. Just make sure that upper body and head are protected and you're good to go.  [roll]

I'll stop by for the pre-coffee but will forego the ride. Going to do some mechanical stuff and head out later with the boss on his first BMW ride.

Frederick, was checking out your Monster this morning and was impressed with the overall look.  I really liked the seat and was wondering how you like the suede/alcantara and where you sourced it from....bike sounds good too!... [thumbsup]

Thanks FP!

Yeah I like the seat... The Alcantara is not as slippery as vinyl, so on hard breaking it's easier to stay off the tank.  But I really just like the look! [Dolph]

David at Golden Uphostery did the cover for me.
Golden is located across Cooke St from Ric's shop.
