The weather people are forecasting a nice weekend for riding.  [thumbsup]   I'll be at the shop on Sat doing some light maintenance on the 848 and trying to fix the bad running problem on the 620. It's not ignition coils or bad, clogged injectors. No MIL Check Engine light so I'll check fuel pressure and possibly swap tanks with the yellow 620. I've also got a no start Hyper at home that I think is just a battery but I'll know more about that later tonight. My volt meter took a dump last night but I should have it fixed in a couple hours. Wouldn't mind getting in a short ride Sat afternoon ahead of the Sunday ride.

Gene, would it be possible for you to stop by the shop for a little bit on Sat? I want to do an infrared temp gun test on the two cylinders and your engine is a lot easier to shoot than the superbikes. I may have a small debate going on with a guy on another forum, if I choose to push it, maybe not though, but I'd still like to measure.

No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

I'll try and get down there if I can...my son bought a house that needs work, so I've been helping him all day every Sat since and sometimes on Sunday and some days during the week...for FREE!...

Well no worries of course. It's not a super big deal. Actually we could make it happen anytime. In my own egotistical, inimitable way I just KNOW the other guy is way full of shit.   [laugh]  ;D  [laugh]  Haven't called him out on it but sometime would like to check just to make 100% sure.

FOR FREE? ? ?   ...............  [cheeky]

does this disagreement have anything to do with the operating temps of the front vs rear cyclinders?... ;D

And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Welcome back to the rock.  I can help on Saturday...I'm free until 4PM.  What time were you thinking of working on the bike and going for a ride?

Gene- Let me know if you and your son ever need an extra set of hands for free labor.

I won't be able to make the Sunday JJ ride...Teresa has her final dive/skills test to become a PADI dive instructor and I'd plan to surprise her at Electric Beach when she surfaces.

I chime in towards the bottom of that page. He comes back with what I think is total rot. I could be wrong though and that's why I want to shoot some cyls.

I'd say Noon until 3 is my window. I'll be starting earlier but that's a chain lube and working on Gloria's car front brakes.

Not nearly as entertaining as I had hoped...

I will say this though, SDs are known for running a little hotter on the rear cylinder.  That's one of the reasons the factory map is set with the rear cylinder being a touch on the rich side, to try and cool it a touch.

Same with my old Superhawk, rear cyclinder is jetted richer than the front...
