Okay, I may have a slight red wine headache in the morning, but it looks like I will be out to play for a half ride... [Dolph]

You didn't know these things before you jumped into the pool? ?   ;D

$2K for an aluminum tank is good.

An aftermarket oversized aluminum racing radiator for the 848/1098/1198 is over $3K an that doesn't include the price of the racing oil cooler. Mind you that is an aftermarket vendor price and not DP Racing. Next to MV's these bikes are the Ferrari's of the Motorbike world and are priced as such.   ;D  Oh well....  [roll]

Oh, no I knew I what I was getting into when I bought the bike.  I think the part that frustrates me more than anything is how STILL after how long we (people living in Hawaii, Guam, etc.) take a Louisville Slugger rolled in Gorilla Glue then broken glass bottles, and sand to the  :o when it comes to shipping.  I have a buddy going through similar stuff with a dirt bike.  He is looking at a few grand in "fees" and everything else and is trying to get some of it knocked off by telling the dealer to leave the bike in the crate and he will put it together.

I was quoted $128 to have a turbocharger for my car shipped out here.  That was JUST shipping charges.   [laugh]

If anyone sees this tonight, I know it is late, what is the normal meet time for Sunday and I am guessing it is the SB/Jamba on Ward?

Still around eight-thirty ish?
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

It's not too late for me since I'm 18hrs ahead!!!!  Normal time is at 0930 SB/JJ at Ward Ave & Auahi St (next to Sports Authority).  You'll have time to enjoy a little chit-chat with the guys & have your morning cup of java ... enjoy the ride, tomorrow's weather forecast looks nice (sorry for the jinx).

I hope to meet up w/ everyone before the new year ... I miss the Sunday get-2-gethers  :'(

Ah.  You guys have turned into late-risers since Emile and I left...

Well I was going to make it out, but my plans got changed for me.  The next two weeks are shot since I will be working retarded long days and the weekends as well.  Then it is Christmas and New Years.  Then I am gone for the first two weeks in January.  I am going to try to meet up with you guys in Febtober.   [beer]

Listen up here, son.  [laugh] [laugh]  Just because you are chronically late,  AND WE WAIT FOR YOU,  doesn't mean the normal time is 0930.   ;D   [roll]   ;D

Emile used to get there around 0815 to hold a table. I had a hard time to be there by 0830 but we used to get everyone there, most of the time, by 0900 and then be on the road by 0915. With coffee, breakfast, and chit chat. An extremely late roll out was 0930. <---- Note:  ROLL OUT   [laugh]

That's gotten a little lax since Ben & Emile left but I'd still like to get there earlier and get going earlier. There are strategic reasons for that apart from getting a good table and it has to do with road hazards.

Today was a bit late too but I didn't mind because of the show going on around the parking lot while all the other bikes were pre-staging for the Toys For Tots Run.

Why do we wait for you? ?  Because we like you!   ;D  ;D

It'd still be good to head out earlier though.  In the old days we'd go out for a run and still have time for a couple of beers at Magoo's ( I forget what it's called now ) on University Ave. and still be home by 1430 at the latest.  Heck, we used to get some fun rides in late Sat afternoon and get down there for some burgers and beers afterwards.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Varsity.

And it helped that you had a bad influence pushing you to twist a little harder.

I didn't know :o [bow_down] I was told 0930 (which converted to 0945'ish according to my Middle Eastern/Hawaiian standard time)!  I appreciate you guys waiting around for me...I wish you would have thrown a helmet or something at me sooner!  I promise to start meeting up on time, especially if there is a good beer (or cigar) waiting at the finish line.

All jokes aside, I look forward to the Sunday rides all week.  Even though I ride everyday, Teresa notices I get a bit cranky when I can't get my Sunday morning fix with you guys.  Now, if I can only get my arse back on the island!

Mental note- 0830'ish  [evil]

"ish" is right. I still have a hard time getting there by 0830 exactly. If I do all of my morning chores, and don't change the routine, that means I have to be up an going by 0500 in order be at SB/JJ by 0830.  That's harsh on a Sunday morning.

I struggle to wake up M-F at 4:45 (+ snooze time).  The idea of waking up so early on a Sunday is border line criminal & down right offensive!  It's even more fun when I'm jet lagged from being in 3x different timezones in the same week.

I'm done whining...can you tell that I'm not a morning person!  [thumbsdown] [coffee]
