I like it. [thumbsup]
Wtf is a Typhon? ???
Is that some sort of cross between a python and a typhoon?
eta: Ah. Greek mythology.
No wonder I'd never heard of it before.
[evil] Oh yeah
Yes, please.
Typhon - the Father of all Monsters...
I wasn't so hot on the 1125 s gills - but without... yeah I like

I'd hit it (even though it probably has that crappy Buell sound). Those brakes still weird me out though.
Wowzers!! The cockpit looks especially nice. [bacon]

Jezuuz! 185hp & 360lbs?!? A **BETTER** than 1:2 ratio of hp to weight?

fwiw, that's a dry weight. throw in some oil, coolant, and fuel and you're at/over 400lbs.
still, not too shabby.
Looks like a tri-fecta of a Monster, a Speed Triple, and a Buell. Not bad though.
"Typhon" - so simple yet obscure that someone would think it a spelling error......a lot like "Diavel"......
You guys saw that this was a 'Proof of Concept' based on a $45k racebike, yes?

yeah, but that's the less than the dry weight of the Monster 1100 Evo that has 100hp at the crank.
Ill take one please. i just want more padding on the seat. [drink]

I dunno, if I had one, I wouldn't be doing too much sitting if you catch my drift.

Yes.
But doesn't seem like a (much) more reasonably priced street model would be a big stretch. Hell, go to cast masters as opposed to the billet ones and you'll drop $1,000 - 1,500. I'm sure a lot of dosh is wound up in the engine of that race bike. Go with the production version of that engine, save more and on and on.

Like it...the XB is what made me look at the monster and when Buell folded, I shed tears. I will still buy an XB Lightening as a second bike, hmmm. maybe I will make my own frankenstein, shoe horn a ducati 1100 monster engine in it!

Great looking concept! That radiator looks massive!
so when is it going to start dominating AMA Pro SuperSport?

They have to re-write the rules again so only the Buell can win. it will come.
Buell should have done something like that a lot sooner. Maybe he'd still be in the bigger business.

i don't know but i would assume his balls were in a vise for a long time after signing up with HD. he was using those HD lumps for a while and the 1125 was the first "real" sportbike they made.
And then the end came....
I think I might be interested in one of these in street trim, if comparable in price with other similar machines, since they are basically a de-uglied Buell 1125.
Not bad but did they leave off a number or something on the torque. 185hp and only 93ftlbs of torque doesn't sound very good to me.

considering the 1198 is 170 horse and 97 ftlbs... to what are you comparing that it doesn't sound very good?

170 and 97 vs 185 and 93?
i'll take the former any day. an extra 4 lbs of pull is great for my fat ass

yea, probably would notice the 4 ft/lbs more than the 15 extra hp [roll]
