Avengers Assemble New Trailer (Love it or Hate it!?) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdZTsVzwWnI#)

I was told that the sound I made after watching that trailer was completely unmanly and resembled something from a giddy school girl.
the thing at the end looks like a pushover [cheeky]
"Guys...I bring the party to you." [laugh]

[popcorn] [bow_down] [bacon] ;D
Anyone doing the half-day marathon of movies leading up to a midnight showing on Thursday?
The AMC's around here doing it are just inconvenient to get to, and I couldn't take the time off from work for a day and a half :-[
I'll just watch it all at home and prepare myself 8)
I thought it was pretty good. Not great, I didn't feel it lived up to the ridiculous hype. Hard to do this movie well when you have so many PRIMARY characters to try and focus on...
I am SOOO looking forward to this movie. therefor i am fully expecting to come away disappointed..

I wouldn't say I was disappointed, but just....I don't know. Less than impressed...
i make the beast with two backsin loved it. had every single thing i expect from a comic book movie. truly enjoyed.
new bruce banner is awesome.
It was epic beyond belief....I'm going to see it again tonight.... [thumbsup] [clap] [popcorn]
Our daughter took her SAT Saturday morning, and Avengers in 3D was her requested reward. I liked it - funny, comic-book kinetic, a couple of entertaining plot twists.
I'm a fan of Edward Norton, so was prepared to dislike the new Dr. Banner/Hulk, but really enjoyed the new guy.

I too was a huge fan of Norton in the Hulk... But I sometimes have trouble accepting him in non-villain roles. He's got an evil, menacing look/demeanor to me. The new guy really nailed the role. He has the "mild-mannered" thing down perfectly, but with a tiny hint of uncontrolled rage lingering just beneath the surface. Bruce Banner is likely one of the hardest comic book characters to ever be tasked with portraying in a live action movie. Mark Ruffalo has my seal of approval. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0749263/ (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0749263/)
For those who have not gone, or are going again be sure to stay aaaaallll the way to the end of the credits. The bitter end with all the tech credits, not just the stars section of the closers.
AH SHIT.

Totally agree, would love to see a Ruffalo "Hulk" movie, was not impressed with the previous. He did the whole total loner, brain but pissed perfectly. I hated that the others had the love thing going. Banner was the way he was cause his wife died...
I liked it a LOT. What surprised me was the comedy used throughout the film. [thumbsup]

indeed! there were some very witty moments!
I LOVED LOVE LOVED the movie! it was funny and witty and just amazing. I may just go watch it again....
I need to find a job as film critic, I love movies and my opinion is 10x better than most ;D
wife and I just saw the movie. if you haven't seen it go watch it. one of the best movies to date
I haven't seen Thor or Captain America yet. Is it important to see those first?
saw it again yesterday
still great.
yep this will probably be a repeater for me
planning a third time with the kid
no not important to see Thor or Captain America but doesn't hurt. they are good movies, just on the level of the Avengers
I never followed the comics so I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any back story.
Just saw it.. loved it.. comical and a lot of action. Hope they make another. And yes, stay till the very very end..
4 words ... Scarlet johansson's magnificent backside
Saw it, loved it, looking forward to the big screen debut of my favorite character now. [evil]
Saw it this weekend with the wife, and it was awesome.
I also hadn't seen Thor or Capt America, but they do a great job of loosely filling you in on where some key components of the plot came from (Loki and the cube, specifically).
In other news, do not waste the money to go see Dark Shadows. I'd give it a solid C-, but it had so much potential to be greater than it was. The entire 3rd act was just...horrible.

Darkseid? ;D
Wrong comics but he is sorta the Marvel equivalent although I'd give Darkseid maybe a full 2 minutes before he'd be ground to dust in a fight.
Oh I know Darkseid is DC. But that character is the basis for the marvel equiv - fellow who cooked him up said he was influenced by the Darkseid character.

Oh dear, cross stream who-would-win topics... Are we up for Kirk vs Picard next? And it's Picard BTW...
Kirk would karate chop Picard right back to England.

Those are topics which have been beaten to death all over the internet by those with far more time on their hands than us. [laugh]
