Our daughter took her SAT Saturday morning, and Avengers in 3D was her requested reward. I liked it - funny, comic-book kinetic, a couple of entertaining plot twists.

I'm a fan of Edward Norton, so was prepared to dislike the new Dr. Banner/Hulk, but really enjoyed the new guy.

I too was a huge fan of Norton in the Hulk... But I sometimes have trouble accepting him in non-villain roles. He's got an evil, menacing look/demeanor to me. The new guy really nailed the role. He has the "mild-mannered" thing down perfectly, but with a tiny hint of uncontrolled rage lingering just beneath the surface. Bruce Banner is likely one of the hardest comic book characters to ever be tasked with portraying in a live action movie. Mark Ruffalo has my seal of approval. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0749263/

When all the land lays in ruin... And burnination has forsaken the countryside... Only one guy will remain... My money's on...

For those who have not gone, or are going again be sure to stay aaaaallll the way to the end of the credits. The bitter end with all the tech credits, not just the stars section of the closers.

Totally agree, would love to see a Ruffalo "Hulk" movie, was not impressed with the previous. He did the whole total loner, brain but pissed perfectly. I hated that the others had the love thing going. Banner was the way he was cause his wife died...

I liked it a LOT. What surprised me was the comedy used throughout the film.  [thumbsup]

I haven't seen Thor or Captain America yet. Is it important to see those first?

no not important to see Thor or Captain America but doesn't hurt. they are good movies, just on the level of the Avengers

I never followed the comics so I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any back story.
