I remember a time when
- Mr Incredible was called Someguy. And Somegirl was Mrs Incredible
- We built BP a bike for his wedding
- The biggest problem we had was whether or not the plane took off.
- Ash had a thing for hot Asian ladies
- A time before Derby knew EVERYTHING
That I know
-Evilsteve isn't called Steve
- Toasty has disappeared, and his acolytes anxiously await his return.
- Luca is really captain Morgan in disguise
For the old timers, what do you remember?
-Spidey chucks 250's at stationary objects on a regular basis
- Anal is WWSDD. Always.
Dammit, iPad screwing with my formatting :p
We didn't exactly build the bike for the wedding...
the bike was because he had to sell his Monster...
the the peckerhead went out and bought a 1098...
and we gave him the Monster anyway. ;D
I remember flying to Cali to stand up for him.
It was fun.
...and there was never a time derby didn't know everything.
Just ask him. :-*
I remember the meltdown on the old board over a picture of a certain someone and that's why no more Herb.
I also remember when a 1000 posts was an amazing feat. That was crazy!

Fellow Ducatisti/DMLers...please help me.
I have just recently become engaged to a wonderful girl (who supports my Ducati habit whole heartedly). I bought her engagement ring, and was expecting to be able to pay off about half of the ring up front, and pay the rest off when I could.
I'm a full time college student (taking 20 hours), and am working on acquiring my commercial pilot's license which is required for me to graduate and receieve my degree, so I have no time to work, even on weekends.
This is hard for me to admit, but I would rather swallow my pride and ask for help than have my fiancee lose her engagement ring because I'm not able to make the payments for it.
I am asking that you donate at least $1 and no more than $5 (unless you really want to give more, then feel free to do so).
Let's do the math here: $1 x 8000 = paid off. $2 x 4000 = paid off. $3 x 2667 = paid off. $4 x 2000 = paid off. $5 x 1600 = paid off.
If you feel that you are willing/able to donate some amount between $1 and $5, please send me a PM, and I'll send you the email account that my paypal is linked to.

i remember most of whats been mentioned already.
i also remember joining TOB when i got my first monster....i was looking for information on the tail chop.
things i "don't" remember include,
-why AZ and i avoided the fallout between Herb and allie when they got in trouble..
-what Monsterlover had before his current avatar (which he has had since way back to the boobies thread i think)
-where Toasty was for 3 months during the spring of 2008
-what happened on the first night of the first DIMBY

My avatar has always been Tiffany Lang on the red 900 (which was my first Ducati) I don't see a reason to mess with success, so it will likely always be her.
The first night of dimby saw a ton of drinking. When lethe and I showed up at midnight after riding all day, everyone was just about shut down for the night. We gave them (some of them) a second wind. We ate burgers and drank beer and it was awesome :D

I remember when this was all just an email list.
I remember the creation and destruction (crash) of the first board, the death of a great board and the birth of something great (this board).

I'm still on the email list. don't see much traffic from it though.
I remember the drama, but I mostly remember the people I've had the pleasure, and ome not so much, of meeting. Some others I have yet to meet, but it will happen some day.

It was pretty hilarious behind the scenes in the Mod Lounge.
I was coerced (thanks, DP [roll] ) into becoming a moderator to attempt to salvage the local board for Denver (to no avail) and had only been one for a short time.
One day, all of the mods started handing in their badges. And then promptly given a link to here.

I remember meeting ZOOOM for the first time. Outside of meeting/riding with Norm that is the most memorable meeting that I have had to date. ZOOOM and I met in a parking lot of a local dealer. He was dropping off his bike for some service. I remember how pissed (his then) wife was that I was talking to him and how all of the sudden his bike decided that it no longer wanted oil in it and just started dumping oil all over the parking lot [laugh]. The bike had been fine for about 20 mins or so and then it just dumped oil all over place. The best part was when Zooom introduces himself to my wife as "ZOOOM with three O's" and she replied with "WTF is wrong with you?" [clap] [laugh] She still asks how you are doing every once in a while.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAA....I remember that....damn that brings back a memory...12K and a loose oil cooler line that they did that I ended up refixing....and my now ex-wife was less than thrilled at the fact that I had a social ability outside of our normal network of friends that she had little to no bearing on whatsoever and couldn't compete against ( not that she had to, but she made it a struggle at times when it didn't need to be)....

and man oh man does that bring back the memories of Norm and the Hurricane bike that Phil Barone was trying to put him on a legal hook about and then sell it in an almost non-disclosure " put this monkey on someone else's back" kind of way, but trying to get way more than premium pricing for it all....

The bike has always worked. I still ride it. It is not 100% though. I kinda stopped the build after the Monster Challenge went away. That contest was the reason for the build. It is going in for service very soon. I may clean it up a bit and do a little more work to it.

There have only been a few

Uh, yep...
I remember being asked to enter my not-even-yet-finished M750CRi.e. into the '05 Monster Challenge by Jeff H himself b/c there weren't enough bikes to fill the slots at the first show.
I remember a lot of things about Nate, Spidey, DrunkenMonkey, and the list goes on and on... Guess that's why I've been here (DML / DMF / whatever's next) for going on a decade now.
I guess the most fun thing for me was the Friday that Vertical Scope pulled the trigger on the 'new DML site' and then left for the weekend. BOY OH BOY did we 'F' that thing up for them by Monday... [laugh]

I already mentioned her.....Allycat,...or something similar.
i remember my first, introductory post on TOB. I had been searching for info on doing a tail chop, and that's where google sent me.
some of the members where pretty condescending about yet another tail chop question, but most were very helpful to a Ducati / Ducati forum newb. I'm glad for that, since I could have just as easily never returned if the most other members where all such tools.
Since the introduction of the next-gen Monster, threads about tail chops have been nonexistent.
