That's a touching tribute, RIP Grumpy.   :'(
I'm glad he lived a long life and took care of you and your family

It was great meeting "The Dude" at long last.   She brought us some epic beer.

I am a cat lover, but not in the same way as mentioned here.

Eastwood is the tortie, a neurotic little ball of fuzz for reasons I'm not entirely sure.  Calvin is the grey and white tabby, laying claim to his latest kill.  HE FEASTS TONIGHT!

Lars R.I.P.  :'( He was the first cat I had on my own. And was my biggest buddy for quite some time.

Current Kittehs!

Loki (It's a good thing he is pretty because the boy ain't got brain cell one in his poor noggin.)

Bethany (This is most definitely Robin's cat. She tolerates me...sort of. The evil genius and alpha of the bunch.)

And our newest addition, Edward.

Not to mention it was the comfiest couch EVAR.  She loved camping out on that couch while we still had it.

Other than getting a fence, how do you stp a cat from climbing up to my bed? This damn cat is like a month old and he climbs up every night. Do I need to lock him out of my room?

You learn to love kitten claws.  [laugh]

I am horribly allergic to our cats. I pop Zyrtec like candy. But if we locked them out of ANY room in the house, they would revolt en masse.

Bad idea.  He'll make so much noise trying to scratch through the door that you won't sleep well.

Id say let him on the bed.  If that won't fly, you could try a squirt bottle of water.  When he gets on the bed, light him up.

I keep my cats on a strict schedule.  When the TV goes off, they run into their "room."  I dish food, refresh water and give them some attention before leaving the room and shutting the door.  It works very well.

The freaking fur ball climbs anything! If you're sitting anywhere he'll clutch your leg and leave puncture wounds. I kinda understand why people declaw their cats. It's not a question of letting him on the bed, we're just paranoid we might crush the little guy in our sleep.

Most of the kittens I've known loved to climb anything & everything, all the time, but grew out of it as they got heavier & climbing got to be more like, y'know, work. Then they'd only do it if they wanted to kill something.

Our cat Yin has had a challenging holiday season; we're turtle-sitting for friends who are out of town for two weeks, and she simply doesn't know what to make of the thing:

And then as I was wrapping up some final presents last night, I used up the last of the wrapping paper in the house. Not a problem; I got out a big pad of flip-chart paper, some rubber stamps & the stamp pad to make more. When I turned my back, I discovered that she'd gotten into the act:

It was incredibly cute... up until we discovered that she's also walked all over the bed & much of the house.  [roll]
