I saw these at the IRL race last weekend, the Penske team seemed to have a dozen of 'em.
Anyone know anything about it?

Mmmm..... looks like an ice-cream bar.  :P

Needs about 4" bobbed off of that rear hugger.

Beyond that, I got nuthin'.

Is it a Honda Cub? They used to make something that looked like that. I don't know if they still do or not.
With a bit of effort here's a pic....

About half way down you'll find some pics.... http://www.bikepics.com/honda/ez90/

That's a good guess, it looks Honda to me too, but I couldn't get any more than that.
I thought Cubs were smaller, but it doesn't look very 'stock' either....

Yeah, it stumped me, so I figured I'd give the panel of experts a shot. It was pretty small, so a modded cub looks like it might be the winna!
I have to give props to Penske, they were definitely the big spender team. Everything first class, and they kept it all bright and shiny.
Note the flames stitched into the seat.

old trick honda cub.  They were , and are great pit bikes.  Once upon a time you could get them with a ski front wheel replacement too, from the factory!

Honda Cub!!!
90cc automatic

The best pit bike I ever owned.

At the races I had factory riders, ktm - yamaha - honda - etc, jump on it and come back with BIG smiles after popping wheelies and tearing around.    Several said it was more fun then their race bike.

You could ride it slow, fast, crazy, and even dead ass drunk.

Yup, it's a Cub.  Had one when I was a kid, been looking to get another one for awhile to stash in the garage.
I'm having a failure to thrive...

I assume that is including ALL models with the Cub name. Like the Moped/Scooter style they sell/sold in India S/E Asia and so forth? Cause I know they haven't made that many of this particular little guy.

Yes, all Cub models.  The Cubs in the style of the Penske were only around for a few years.
