If this is a Derby, let me know ASAP.

I was trying to find the pic of the "intense dude with the cigarette in his mouth", and found this.

supakpow2 posted this photo: .

I google'd it and found this:

at ducatiusa.com. It looks like he may have a smoke in the latter image, but...

BTW, the guy behind him is missing his right arm. That really drives it home that that race was only 11 years after the war.

Sorry about dredging up an old topic, but this was very interesting to me.

I think it was added to be more badass. On the first pic, the cigarette appears whiter than any of the other whites in the photo...

They totally removed it for PC purposes... (eyeroll).

Still smokin' too:

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Yup I have a printed copy of that pic with cigarette!
They make the beast with two backsing removed it to be more California pc...

On Ducati's web site it says Maoggi is the man with the cig in his lips but they show the picture where it has been removed.  durrr...
He man, where are all the ads?

Saw a signed print of that last week... along with a couple of random Italian scoots.  I do have pics, but they are at home.

Motodoffo ring a bell?

Apparently the owner also has a still-crated autographed Paul Smart.

The pictures of the signing (displayed on the tv) showed the sides of the crate pulled off...

It seems the actual owner of the vineyard was off in elsewhere, so no tours of the garage... with the rumored 'sedici and many vintage bikes.  I had to satisfy myself with the vintage 60 on display under the counter.
