Pompetta and I set up the suspension on his any my bike yesterday afternoon, wow what a difference! The instructions that we used were fairly easy to follow. I will see if he can attach them to this topic. Thanks again for the help.

LOL...completely different...in a GOOD way!!  [laugh]  [thumbsup]  [moto]

Virtually NO diving under hard braking.  Now all I need is new shoes, fit up the repaired midpipe, and some safety wiring!  [moto]

I might be riding to Wrightsville Beach with Donna (if it doesn't rain).  Wanna go?  We'd leave early (6am) to get easy parking.

That write up is missing something or im just missing it.  How do you set compression?  All it says is turn it way out so it is at it's softest.  The write up then goes to how to set your rebound than then never touches back on compression.  How am i suppose to know to stiffen up compression.

How I read the write up is that the writer leaves the compression at the softest setting and thats it.  Am i missing something?

You're right, those instructions are missing steps for setting the compression damping.  I thought it mentioned that compression damping (unlike sag and rebound) requires a session or two of riding with adjustments in between.  However, no additional instructions are given.  I turned my in  a few clicks from the slowest setting.

BTW, I believe I wrote in that thread that those instructions came from a now defunct webstore/site.  So, there's little chance of the author adding to them.  If anyone would like to amend them, send me the text.

I watched a video this weekend that was also obscure about compression damping settings.

I think I may order the video series from Traxxion Dynamics. If I do, I'll evaluate the video set, and also post up what I learned from it.
