California Metal Spray (http://californiametalspray.com/home.htm) does this.

And yes, I am looking into this as a Winter project  ;D
I own several motorcycles. I have owned lots of motorcycles. And have bolted and/or modified lots of crap to said motorcycles...

Thanks, that is what I was looking for.  I wonder what it costs?  Have you gotten that far?

QuoteThe decorative metal spray process consists of fine metal powders mixed with binders, resins, adhesives and hardeners to make a sprayable liquid that creates a metal coating that is both beautiful and durable.

The industrial spray process uses an electric arc inside a spray gun to melt metal wire; high pressure air forces the metal particles onto surfaces to create a strong layer of metal that can be machined, plated, or to apply a protective corrosion control coating.   One specialty is to restore old automobile pot metal for re-plating.
From their site...

I'm thinking you want the industrial process.

Otherwise it's just paint.

You got something against paint?  ;D

I've seen both and they both look good. But yes, I'm looking at the arc method...
