Should have has his ass handed to him. make the beast with two backsen Jesus freak. He forgot the part about it being personal lord and savior, instead he is like those televangelist blabbing on about it all the time.
I wonder what our lord and savior has against the Steelers, Bengals, Falcons, and Lions?

The poor Falcons got their asses handed to them. What a dull game.

The Steelers/Broncos though... that was a fun ride.

Also,

I find people's reactions to Tebow very interesting. He's divisive, inspiring both rabid fandom (which I don't really understand), and venomous dislike (which I also don't really understand).

He seems like a pretty stand-up guy, and less of an asshat than a great many professional athletes. As for his quarterbacking, he is by all appearances a middling QB (who may improve in coming years), and I'm not really sure how he's become this sports celebrity.

The Pats would not have a problem with either team, but then again, on any Sunday.  :D

Seriously? He has been downplayed since high school, then in college, then in the Heisman race, then in the draft, then as the 3rd string QB who had no mini camp and virtually no snaps with the starters, was brought in and won 6 straight and just beat one of the best defenses in the game.

Seriously?

For context, I only halfway pay attention to such things. I enjoy watching pro ball, but I'm not sure I'd say I "keep up with it." And I mostly ignore college ball.

The times I've watched the Broncos, he's run the gamut from "middling" to "acceptable/decent."

I was reasonably impressed with him during tonight's game, but I haven't seen anything that would, to my mind, justify the reactions people seem to have.

Ya gotta pay closer attention before you come to a conclusion.

I was pretty impressed with him this game, but I just hadn't seen anything leading up to it that impressed me.

Keeping up with college and pro ball to a degree that would allow me to be "well-versed" in such things exceeds my interest level in the sport. I'm more of the "watch a game or two over a weekend and not think about it much later" type of football fan.

(And on the off chance that makes me sound like I'm trying to be a "better-than-that" dick about football, that's not where I'm coming from. I'm sure I have at least two or three interests that most people wouldn't care about, and are equal or greater wastes of time, objectively speaking.)

And in other news, the Bengals managed to disappoint me for yet another year.

Ha, it's all good, but this is a thread about the NFL not some off beat interest that one might have.  :D

Tebow did a great job on Sunday. However, I'm still not drinking the Tebow Koolaid. There are about twenty other quarterbacks I'd take over Tebow, and two of them haven't even had an NFL snap.
