Hi all,

I'm in need of a couple of new shoes for the bike & after Christmas with the CC bills about to arrive, am after a bit of a deal.
Last time, I bought a set from Balmain motorcycles & they were great on pricing and fitting. Just wondering if anyone can recommend another place before I head back their way?

Looking for a set of the Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa, fitted to the bike.

Thanks all.

How about $376 delivered to your door, you will have to get them fitted though.

Just have a look at the Motosport header and click tyre combo's, please ignore the Y*m*h* setting that I had it on.

Thanks Monster Mick, I saw that one in the other tyre thread some time ago and have to admit that it appears to be an attractive offer.

I did buy some tyres a while back from BikeBiz as they had a brilliant sale on at a time when I didn't really need any. I held on to them unitl I needed to replace the old ones & then went to Northside (closest dealer to me) and asked them to fit the new rubber. Bloody theiving buggers charged me $50 a wheel as they didn't sell me the tyres in the first place, which essentially negated the saving I thought I'd made.

So if I add an additional $100 for fittment, that's still not a bad deal ($476), but I was wondering if anyone knew of any dealers in Syd that would go close to this, without all of the chasing around and waiting?

Balmain Motorcycles have quoted just over $500 over the phone, so it really doesn't make the whole ordering over the net, waiting and getting shafted for fittment seem like that great a deal to me.

Any other thoughts out there?

You can try D Moto, they have tyre deals from time to time.

Otherwise I'd say Balmain are your best bet.

Or find a cheaper fitter. I get mine from motosport and have them fitted for $20 each. $340 fitted for bridgestone bt002's which I can't get from an Aussie seller as they're not imported in old monster size!

Yeah, $50.00 per tyre sounds like alot. I did get that same price here in Brisbane. I couldn't get it done for any less even when I offered to only bring in the wheels.
You greatly underestimate the amount of overconfidence I have.

If you think about it, the dealer / tyre fitter does need to make some money as I'm not buying the tyres from them, so if the job took them an hour (remember I'm taking the bike in whole, not just seperate wheels), then it's probably not that different from what they charge for labour for other mechanical services.

I guess I'd just rather deal with & give my money to a local business then buy from OS............

Thanks again for all of your thoughts.

i find spmotorcycles.com.au often have some of the cheapest deals. ride in ride out service in the shire and cheap if not included fitting cost.

other tyre shops, including some of the Ducati mechanics, will match spm's prices too if u ask.
