Still going fine.  Can't see why it wouldn't keep going. I dare say the front will feel a bit better next week with new fork oil.

Heather, have the steering head bearings been looked at recently? Also the wheel bearings could use a bit of fresh grease, when the steering head bearings got replaced on the 'Comfy' ST it made quite a noticable difference.

Hi Mick
Thanks for the reminder. I know what you mean about the difference new steering head bearings make.   Brad Black is doing the service and I know from experience that he will check all the bearings - he's very thorough with things like that.  Plus he knows how paranoid I am about bearings with my past experience of having a wheel bearing collapse on me.

Last service for me Brad changed the throttle cable.  Unbelievable difference.  Like it had 10 extra hp.  So much better response (or so it felt).  Screwed up my gear changes for ages.  And here I was thinking that I was just getting smoother with age.

Hey Ducmeister/Unge

Time to organize a Gippi ride. Maybe the weekend of the 21st?
I reckon we meet in Toolangi and Unge can lead us from there.
Every 2nd weekend is good for me.

Hmm, I'll check with the social secretary.
Hopefully she can clear my schedule for at least one of the days that weekend.

Maybe we could cross paths somewhere between Omeo and the Vic Alps for high tea .

I will have to check with Brian of course if its okay to consort with you lot though  [cheeky]

Two heads is another state southwards again. ;)
You sure you want to ride in the Victoristan?
Great roads but the junta is harsh, be careful.
Sounds great. We'll work on it down here, what you say Heather /Unge/Ducmeister?

Can't commit to anything at present - supposed to be looking for work  [roll] But if I'm around I could probably be talked into it.

Nationsl Ducati Rally is on the first weekend in March (2-4th) based at Jindabyne.

Agreed, especially if you are going to Jindabyne or Cooma.  Lot of fun roads up that way.

Look Mmick, and our fellow Victorians, please bear in mind that Desmond and his mate Rob are from 'you know where " and rarely travel ............  I'm tempted to ride down to Cooma, just to make a statement...... [roll]

This is a route that I could possibly be doing  around the 4th of Feb with some " seasoned friends"     food for thought

http://maps.google.com.au/maps?saddr=Rouse+Hill,+New+South+Wales&daddr=Bathurst,+New+South+Wales+to:Cootamundra,+New+South+Wales+to:Tumut,+New+South+Wales+to:Khancoban,+New+South+Wales&hl=en&sll=-33.598265,149.43503&sspn=7.272805,16.864014&geocode=FWkN_v0dEMr-CCm5UKb6Wp4SazGAyTIWaH0BBQ%3BFUsWAv4d52zqCCnvebQGM-QRazFgIkSQtAkGBQ%3BFa5z7_0dPqzSCCljQTREUbYZazGQ50OQtAkGBA%3BFTVZ5f0dxrfVCCldlu230xoYazFAMkSQtAkGBQ%3BFRVh1_0dZUbUCCl9oDFSJjsjazGw6kOQtAkGBA&oq=khan&vpsrc=0&mra=pr&t=h&z=7

BUT.......   if they do trailer their bikes down then thats fine by me, but i promise to get some photos of it.....I know, its going to look pretty lame.....but Rob has already booked the trailer  and rumour has it that he has also bought a book for accommodation.......not like our ride up north eh MV....I wouldn't doubt it for a minute if they decide to do the Snowy section , keeping their bikes on the trailer..... ;D
Should I make a new thread , calling it  Stanley & Laurels trip down South....?  . [roll]
