Just bought a DUCATI Performance 2 into 1 complete exhaust system.

I have seen pics on here before...but can't find any now?
If anyone has or know where I can find them...many thanks!!

You just bought it.  Take pictures when it gets there.
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

coming from Netherlands going to take awhile! [bang]

Just a heads up, I don't think that's a Ducati Performance exhaust. Not that I'm doubting it's quality but it certainly doesn't look like a DP piece.

+1.  No DP exhaust system would ever sell for that cheap.

well,  I guess I will see when it arrives, if its real DP or not.

But the seller does have 1123 transactions on ebay, with 100% positive feedback & he accepts returns all his items.

looks like the one i had (it was round muffler), they're the old gia.co.moto style.  was too big for a 750, lost power everywhere compared to std headers and slip ons.

I am not looking for performance gains.....just like the look.  [drool]
I do plan on using a different slip on.

Just cause it might not be a DP piece doesn't mean it won't work for you, if you like it that's all that matters!  [thumbsup]

And hell, like you said, if you don't like it and the seller will let you return it then return it and try something new.

Hey Brad, when you say too big for a 750 do you just mean the silencer? It doesn't seem the header pipe is much bigger/longer than a stock system, can't really tell in the pics on ebay what the diameter of the pipes are though. Would there be any benefit to the system if the OP tried a different silencer?

Are there any back pressure issues with the 2 into 1 causing a loss in power?

Also, I think the OP has a 900. A little more grunt than the 750, have you dyno'd this type of system on a 900?

from my report:

>> the pipe is around 43mm with the collector around 48mm from memory.

std is 40mm od on all monster 2v headers, so it's a size bigger.

it looks like dp to me, nice header set i thought, just too big.  should be able to force it onto a 900 given it has sprung slip joints.  no 2v i've ever dynod has made more power with a bigger exhaust that i can recall.

Brad,
I dont plan using the megaphone can that is pictured with the 2 - 1 system.
I would like to use a shorter exhaust can.
How would that alter performance?

Also, will the position of the outlet of the 2-1 (where the exhaust slip on would attach )
be in about the same area, as the stock system?

the system i had was with a round aluminium muffler, same as i had on my 888 full system that worked very well.  http://www.bikeboy.org/pics/888_3.jpg

so i can't see it being a muffler issue.  the pipe is just too big.

i don't recall how it fitted now, i think the pipe ended futher back than a std header.  no photos of it fitted.
