I might bring out the red 1100S.  This morning started out kind of wet & rain spotted but turned out nice later.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

I'm doing a 3x tank dive to make up for last weekend.  Have fun riding & be safe.

I won't be joining your guys [Dolph] this coming Sunday.   :(  Lunch with both parents and in-laws.

I'm out too for the Pro Bowl.  If anyone is interested tomorrow, I'll stop at Rick's shop around 11'ish and go for a spin from there.

I'll be out for a while, not that I have made it out yet  :-\   [bang], bike got knocked over and have a broken rear set collar and toe peg.  Already sent out an email to Mark at Acculign to order new parts for it.   :'(  Picked up some paint pens at O'Reilly Auto Parts today and found one that matches the red perfect and will attempt the black and white at a later date.

I think I might look on ebay for banged up fairings to repair and have for spares.  If anyone knows someone local with a 848/1098 with banged up fairings that they might want to get rid of let me know.  They can be cracked and missing some of the plastic.

I suppose it is good I have not found a buyer for the Honda yet.

With the exception of Tantalus, we had a nice uptempo ride today...MD and I were accompanied by David (1100SP), Chris (S1000RR) and Shawn (on David's SFS)... [Dolph] [thumbsup]

Yep. With the exception of having totally, glossy, wet roads and branches on them, Tantalus was about as bad as it gets.  Even tip-toeing through there everyone had some sort of front/rear/both tire slip at one time or another.

On the other hand Tantalus was wonderful at about 2:30 PM yesterday afternoon after about a weeks worth of dry weather.

Got some serious good seat time today on the 1198SP. Good fun. Now to make the SP handle like my 848. That's the next task.  I liked the power of the SP. Got an unintended power on wheelie away from a light while playing with Chris on the S1000RR. Didn't even have my right foot on the peg yet.  [roll]  Easy power up and easy set down.  ;D  [drool]

And the slipper clutch was very nice.  [thumbsup]

Next time we go out........ more ride time..... less stand around and talk/bs time.  [Dolph]

Yeah, these young guys think they have all the time in the world, no sense of urgency at all... ;)

Looks like I missed out on a fun ride...sans Tant.  We had a great time tailgating pre & post game...but the game was...meh, ok...as expected.  We had more beer and grilled meat than we could consume...and we tried!  It felt good to finally shower and crawl into bed.

We could have done more riding and less talking. The Pro Bowl traffic mess factored into some ride route decisions though.

BTW, the curves on that aluminum tank were real nice too.  Never really paid attention in detail to the shape of that tank before.

I know...too bad I can't justify spending the $$$$ to upgrade the tank while it's still under warranty.

Are folks planning on riding on SuperBowl sunday?  FP has autocross I think.
