It was an Arturo Fuente Anejo #49.  Picked one up just for the heck of it. Wasn't impressed at all with the first third but then it turned the corner and got fairly good. Not something that I would stock in the humidor though but I'd smoke one again.

Looks like we timed our ride & routes just fine today.  Tantalus was nice & dry. As good as it gets up there actually.  It started raining over here while we were watching the Super Bowl.

For some reason, Opus X is the only Arturo Fuente that I've consistently enjoyed.  I smoked a Rocky Patel Edge (torpedo) tonight that I picked in Nov.  It was a good smoke...burned evenly and smoked fairly consistent until the last few draws.  Too bad I'm out of beer!

Yes, unfortunately I almost got plowed by a Miata while going through a hairpin turn...evidently he thought his apex was the shoulder on my side of the road!  He stopped to apologize while I pulled over to shake out my nerves!

The route(s) are just variations of going over the same, and only, curvy roads we have over here.  

On Super Bowl Sunday we went out to Ewa Beach and then up Kunia Road to Snake Road. Turned around up in Waialua and came back down H2 to H1, off at the Stadium to get over to Moanalua Freeway   and then over Likelike to Kaneohe where we topped up the tanks. Went over to Norfolk and then back up 13 turns. Took a break. Then over Pali where we split up and three of us, or so, went over Tantalus.

This changes for just the sake of change, weather or road conditions and depending on whether or not someone has to be somewhere at a certain time/place.

You're very welcome to join us anytime, just check in for the meet up roll out times as those change. I may not be out as regularly as I have been for a bit, depending on my mood and other commitments/projects including the upcoming services for your bike and my bike.

3 hrs. With breaks and Tantalus.

Yup, we also avoided the h2 closure.  If we'd gone to snake road in the afternoon, it would've been bad.  Good plan we had!

Might be a good turn out tomorrow.  David plans to come out and Brandon (Brian's friend) will likely join us w/ a friend.

Probably not going to make it...prepped the bike with an oil change, etc., yesterday, but am down with a cold...
