I would beat that isn't a stretch to see in say the next 2 decades.  Devices that do 3 or 4 axis motion and control were not long ago big bucks, complicated to integrate, and very technical to program. Now they are becoming almost as common as a desktop printer.  I just bought a 3 axis table top robot from a respected Japanese company for $6200 that is easier to program than an alarm clock.
