I try.  Need to remember that periodically though.   Thanks.    ;)

We all forget.

...and there are some things you just can't fix.

That is even harder to swallow.

Not that I care.

I have paid for my sins.
I have no feelings of guilt.
I love my wife, my family, and friends.
I have done some terrible things and am not proud of them.
I have moved on hoping to save what I can. I have a really good job. 4 Ducs in the garage. A safe full of guns. But you know something, the most important thing in my life is not my bikes. Not my guns. Not money. Not anything you can buy in a store. It is my wife.
I almost make the beast with two backsed that up. I admit it. In the process I hurt a lot of people. For that I am truly sorry.
But now the past has yet again appeared and I will probably lose it all.

I know I brought this upon myself and again have paid for my sins and have gotten over the guilt.

I don't expect anyone to give a shit. Just wanted to share the beginning of what will be a really shitty make the beast with two backsin day. I honestly hope everyone else's is better.
hmm..well, this was an interesting post that i missed until this very moment...just because im a curious person, who exactly did you make payment to for your "sins"?.. the people that you hurt, presumably very badly, do they feel as though you have truly felt the pain you inflicted upon them & have made amends to them? or do you think maybe they feel as though you just ran away from their pain & ran off to lick your own wounds, tail tucked between your legs, not truly ever acknowledging the state in which you left things? ..just a question.. because many times the person in the wrong feels as though theyve "paid", but the person left hurting would disagree completely....
people make mistakes all the time & forgiveness is given when the forgiver feels like they have truly been heard & acknowledged & not discounted.. but when someone just says "oops sorry, gonna run away now & pretend you never existed"..that is not "paying for your sins"...not to say that's the case here...but then again, maybe it is..

Still at work.

Was dragged into a "meeting" with the client where a guy was complaining that we had not properly "trained" them to do something.

Explained how the guy was clueless about what was really going on (in better terms so as not to be fired).

Ended up having to setup a meeting so that the guy that is supposed to be coordinating everything finally gets a clue.

yup it is...

everyone is just chock full of remorse...but usually AFTER they're busted

you don't see a whole lot of pre-emptive remorse and regret in this world

unless someone is on their deathbed

desperately hedging their bets against some notion of  a judgement day

the idea of leaving all your worldly physical things behind (including your carcass)

affords you a marvelous perspective and clarity

on what non-material things you are taking with you on your new adventure

into the unknown since the physical and tangible is now immaterial

all you are left with is the unvarnished and un-discounted or unmitigated sum of your deeds in life and what kind of human you were

great stuff to see, especially if you get turned back from the hereafter at the last moment or two

can really make the beast with two backs up what you thought was fun before then   [thumbsup]

if you have been a gold-standard shit-head your entire life,,,,

if you're lucky.... a safe will drop on you and you won't have the time to mull it all over
