Surely they used more than 2 words to say it though

Late for work one day. Long stretch of road in an industrial area on my normal drive to work. The road is a 40mph zone for some reason. I am one of maybe 4-5 cars on that road that time of morning. I'm doing a little over 80 in a 2002 Black F150. Moto cop is hiding just inside the gate to one of the businesses in that area and nabs me. I pull right over, he walks up and I get the usual "you in a hurry?". I give him my military ID with my license like I always have and he tells me he got me on radar at 81 in a 40. I ask him if he can cut me a break and all he says is "I'm giving you a break for not taking you to jail for wreckless driving." Ouch.

I get to court and sit down with the DA. The fine is $650 and a mandatory 1 day in jail. It's also a misdemeanor offense as opposed to a simple traffic violation. We talk for a bit and he ends up reducing it to 79 in a 40 which takes the day in jail off the table and drops the fine to $550. But he WOULD NOT drop the misdemeanor.

Another time was driving from Phx to San Diego. Got a ticket in the AZ desert for speeding then got another as I got into San Diego. 2 tickets in one days sucks...

When they ask for your license don't give them your military ID. They didn't ask for it.

+1

Especially when you're licensed in a state other than where you're being pulled over.

If you think it works for you great. My perception, and the other cops I've talked with about it, is someone handing us military ID believe they deserve special treatment. Not a good way to start. A sticker in the rear window with your branch is a better way to convey that message.

1998. Pulled out of a gas station and yanked the front wheel up. Cop came over the hill towards me while im in a wheelie. I put the wheel down and look in my rearview mirror and see him slam on the brakes and start to turn around but i already have such a jump on him as he is going the other way and can't turn around immediately because of traffic so i figured i could shake him real quick.  I dropped a gear and took off.

I ran it up to about 95 or so for about 20 secs and figured i had some distance so i slowed down to about 60. Just then i see another one coming towards me and he also hit the brakes and started to turn around. Same thing, dropped two gears, rocketed away from him on the straight and about a half mile down the road basically dragged a knee on a long sharp right hander that i knew he wouldnt take that fast. Once i was out of sight and he would have known if i had turned or not, i slowed down again.

Then im in the next town thinking im safe and see ANOTHER one coming towards me again.

Anyway long story shorter, this happened a few more times and i lost them easily but i made a dumb move (dumber than the ones i had already made) and turned into a center of town are where there was a lot of traffic. At this point im 4 towns away from where this started and the blocked me in with nowhere to go.

They arrest me, rough me up as cops always do because they dont like being disobeyed, and they write me 9 tickets for anything they could think of. Little did i know that about a month earlier they made running form the cops a felony, one step beneath murder. They impound the bike, and thankfully my lawyer got me a PTI, or a pre trial intervention. basically like probation before you are convicted. I had never been in trouble before this and thats the only reason they let me do it. Stay out of trouble for a year and charges are dropped. Well the felony was dropped after a year but is still cost me thousands and lots of visits to the courts to fight all the other tickets. Remember there were 9......

Or, they don't like risking their life and the lives of other drivers
