I'm not sure if its actually CE approved despite what it says but it looks great to stuff in a jacket I have that is currently armorless. I'm thinking the "anything is better than nothing" logic.

Is there a better alternative?

I call bullshit. The "CE" tag is sewn on. Every piece of CE armor I have is molded into the piece.

Also, what exactly is a "Joe Rocket Dianese" jacket?

I know its bullshit but I can't find anything else I can put in this jacket.

About 3/4 of the CE gear I have has a tag of some sort sewn/stuck on.

What do you need? I've got some spares lying around.

<rummages in closet>

I've got some Knox Advance knee/shin pads with the "hook" side velcro already in place. They'd be good, if slightly large, elbow/forearm pads. (CE Level I)

I've got some knee pads out of a pair of Cortech Rider Blues that would make okay shoulder pads. (CE Level I)

I've got some of these shoulder pads. Not CE rated, but like you said, something is better than nothing.

And if you want it, I've got all of the elbow and shoulder pads out of a Tour Master Coaster II that I crashed in. The leather on the jacket is shot, but the pads seem to be in good condition. I'm not sure if these pads are like helmets, i.e. "one time use only," but I've got them. They're CE rated.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

I've been looking at those myself, since  my leather jacker has No armor at all.
Tough the "CE" totally looks PhotoShopped, like you said, something is better than nothing....  :-\

The heart pounding is true, at least...

From what I understand CE certification ain't cheap.  I doubt there are a lot of smaller armor or gear makers that are going to go through the trouble and expense. There is a chance that this is unbranded gear -some other large maker buys it from this supplier and marks it up- but looking at the pics, not a very good one.
But considering there is a lot of good, cheap armor out there I would take a pass on this.

Thats the stuff I was trying to find. I saw similar stuff at the nyc international autoshow but forgot what it was called. This was before I had the jacket I'm talking about. Looked like tuff stuff when I saw it in person, I dunno if I would call it cheap but its reasonably priced for the quality of protection you're getting. I'm gunna try and find a us distributor.
