Prepping for MotoGP 2012

So this is what my bike looks like right now.


I have one hell of a wish list of parts and things i want to do before MotoGP in July but I decided to budget myself around $1000. So i would like some help picking the things i should do. Here is my list:
Clip ons- $80
Rigid Industries headlight set up- $300+ fab work
SBK Levers- $400 is the best i have found for both. (hit me up if you have seen cheaper)
New controls (kill switch is broken, blinker switch is broken)- $100 (cheapest i found)
Speedo swap (Vapor Gauge)- $130+ fab work
Lightweight Flywheel- $200
Carbon Skins- $300
Race Tank (current one is damaged and leaks) - $500ish (Ca-Cycleworks hasnt set a price)
High Voltage Coils- $160
Race tech Front springs- $100
3 way rear shock/spring (believe mine is toast, bottoms out and is rough)- $100
Black Anodize forks- $?$ (if you have a idea, let me know)
Carbon seat cowl- $130
Windscreen (for the 6 1/2 hour ride up to Monterey)- $250

I will also be powdercoating my swing arm, rear sets and possibly frame. Also rebuilding my homemade exhaust (stage 2) and building a custom aluminum case for the trip up but, that's not part of my parts budget.

Sooo... where should I from here?

I always hit the functional stuff first -fix the tank leak and the broken controls.

Maybe try to decide what's most important to you; looks, function, comfort, performance, etc. and try to prioritize based on that.

Repair items first, functional items second, bling afterward.

Snazzy new carbon fiber looks awful funny next to a dented tank or broken switch-gear. 8)

Think I'll fix the tank, controls, replace the headlight, throw on some clip ons and call it good. Aside from the powdercoat and exhaust fab work of course.

In this order;
runnability
ergonomics
handling/stopping
power
pure aesthetics.


dont forget when doing things like anodizing forks, lightweight flywheel and clipons you need to budget additional money for the things associated with them.  anodizing forks means you need to strip them down completely  so fork oil and bushings, it would be dumb to not get proper springs in there at the same time.  flywheel means fresh oil, clip ons will probably need new brake lines (and a triple clamp to look "correct").

I would hold off on things that would be affected by other mods too. your plans for the headlight and gauge may change to better suit the clipons.  clipons themselves may be a better thing to do after going on that 13hr road trip too...

what shock and spring are you looking at for 100$?
