Back on page 80 or so...  I ranted about a low-ball raise I got.  Turns out, some people here did GAS...

For those, here's the update: (since they're obviously in the wrong thread)

The low-ball raise got me to download the indeed.com job finder app.

Took a few weeks, but I did manage to have a couple 'hits' up my alley that weren't in bum-make the beast with two backs New Mexico.   (BELIEVE ME...  We've got outskirts here in NM!!!)

Got a call from the headhunter 2 weeks ago.

Had the interview last Wednesday (where they told me 2 weeks to make their decision).

Got the job offer in 2 DAYS!

It's another 5% more than the 4% I just got (or right on par with the 10% I feel I deserved back on page 80)...

I'm taking it!

Best part?!?!?  The AMAZING best part?   NO travel.  Which means, I get to stay in Albuquerque and be the father to my amazing 14y.o. that she needs right now.

No more 'Daddy has to go to _____' to earn $ BS anymore!!!

I'm really proud of myself for keeping the commitment I made to be here for her.

Not sure where you live, but most places cap annual rent increases at 10%. I'd look into it.
