Anyone have a clue as to when the next 20% off one item coupon will be out? How often do they?  I am a member but never had a chance to use one of those coupons. Anyone with inside scoop?

Yeah, there was!!!!  Expired before I could use it. 

Seems like there are 2-3 a year? I would suspect late-summerish...


The outlet coupons seem to happen more often...

i just became a member and had 2 20% off, wnated to buy a tent and a sleeping bag, but couldnt muster up the funds. now i wish i did since ill be able to use them more often then not!

Memorial Day weekend is the biggest sale of the year. its the kick off for all things summer. look for it in a couple of weeks.

Sometimes you can work deals with people in line when the 20% coupons come out. It's better if you're buying expensive stuff like the big three. I paid full price for a pair of gloves for a woman and she "gave" me her 20% off coupon. I ended up saving an additional $35 on a sleeping bag.

But if you find something you want, paying more for the item isn't horrible because it'll impact your dividend at the end of the year.

Kayak plus, all the accessories = dividends! 

I too missed out on using my REI 20% coupon.  One cool thing I've discovered is that Dicks Sporting Goods honors Sports Authority coupons......20% off, $20 off a $100 purchase, even recently outdated coupons! 

I wonder if REI has the same coupon policy......wortha call.

You may not want to wait and use a coupon on that. I think when you use the coupon, the purchase doesn't count towards your dividend. I'd much rather have the dividend on a purchase that big!

We used the last 20% on a tent, and had it shipped to our house for free. But something real pricey (like hiking packs) we paid for straight up, but got a huge dividend at the end of the year. The best part of the REI membership IMO is the shipping. You could have that kayak dropped off at your front door, and you don't have to pay a dime 

in my 30 years of membership, dividends have been typically in the 5 - 10% range.
