Handheld GPS

many of you are keen outdoorsmen....what would you suggest as a reliable; without being too pricey; handheld GPS for hiking? the kind which will point me out in a direction of civilisation should i get lost

Hey Rob Garmin  or Magellan, is probably the most used Gps for that type of thing.
Havn't kept upto date with what's avalable now, GPSOZ are here in monavale and you will get expert advise there,to suit your needs, rather than your local dicksmith store ???

I don't have a handheld but I can say that the service from Garmin on my unit was excellent.
So if you want a company that does care about it customers and reputation in the market place I can say that Garmin do car.
