Hey guys!  Looking to get a 696 as a next bike (have had a couple of VFR's, GS500F, Virago 150, dirt bikes) in the past, but want to get back on two wheels.

I guess the closest place to actually sit on a 696 to check out the ergos is Dallas?  How does that work for you guys with maintence or needing dealer work?

That's correct. Our dealer here in OKC closed last year. I've heard nothing but good things about AMS in Dallas. As far as buying a bike, I'd look here first. You can usually pick up a good bike with mods for a great price. And DMF members would probably prefer another memeber bought their bike instead of some stranger 

As far as work on the bike, there are a few mechanics around town, and you can always do the work yourself. Always a good excuse to pour up some cold gold
