Up to this point Rossi's team had been holding out pitboard signs with a tricycle on them when Hector Barbera was behind Rossi. Probably not any more.

I think Hayden is trying to prove a point!

It was a one-off lap with a soft tire.  His "hard" tire pace is a second slower.  Rossi didn't run a soft today.

They had been told that they would not be allowed to race the softer of the two original compounds, Stoner said. They would be able to race the harder of the two original compounds, but not without putting in at least half race distance consecutively, at race pace on one of the hard rear tires first. That tire would then be cut open and examined for damage, and if none was found, then the rider would be allowed to select that option as a race tire.

The new construction is the only tire the riders will be allowed to race without having to justify their choice first. “It’s a strange situation,” Stoner said. “It seems like we will only have one choice of tire for the race if the weather is hot. I don’t really understand the situation.”

is that why he ran the hard only today?

I think Hayden and Barbera BOTH proved a point in qualifying.

MadDuck

Front row --- Pedrosa --- Lorenzo --- Barbera

Second row --- Hayden --- Stoner --- Crutchlow

Third row --- Dovizioso --- Bradl --- Spies

Ought to be a hell of a start at least.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

El Matador

Just got back to the hotel from the Race. It was awesome.  [thumbsup]

The race was over on the first few turns. Bradl's move might have cost Nicky more than the 4th place.

Moto 2 was crazy.. like seriously just all out mayhem.. like always  [bow_down]

Good race by Nicky regardless of whether his last drive blew it or not.

Both Nicky and Rossi seemed pretty thrilled to be within a second of the podium...

Sad that Hayden lost his place after a great last lap battle with Bradl.  Only to lose it to Rossi and then Cal.

Being Rossi and Dovi fan, glad at the turn out.  Dovi did a great job.

I like Cal but really tired of hearing whoever is in front of him holding him up.  This time - Rossi!?  Please!

Stoner, I was surprised and sad.

Ben spies - did he get passed by De-puniet ?  Mechanical problems?

The best part was the celebration by the fans at the track.  The BBC commentator's seemed weirded out by it or what?  I thought it was awesome.  Telle-tubbies. Lol

Any news other than Reposol Honda spot filled?  Any news about other teams?
620M 2004 Dark i.e.; ~ 57K miles (all me);  Looking to swap out engine now.

I'd say Rossi's helmet pretty much says 2013 is on a duc.

And I have to say... I'm pretty impressed over how well Bradl is doing on his rookie year.  Makes you look at Bautista and wonder how much longer his spot is safe.

cal also said that passing rossi was a waste of time bc he would have gotten him right back on the straight every time.
Like this is the racing, no?

I was pretty pissed about Bradl's move on Hayden. Hayden made a clean pass on him and then he comes and shoves him wide. Anybody else see it this way?
